You will need a clear plastic ball ornament from a craft store or one of the dollar stores. I got mine from Spotlight. Some strips of paper. A little ribbon. You can add embellishments if you wish.
1. Cut strips of patterned Christmas paper (sheet music also works well) into strips of different widths. Mine were between 1/2″ and 3/4″. I used Kaisercraft Christmas Spirit - Jolly and Home For Christmas - Egg nog.
2. Curl your paper strips around a thin paint brush handle or pencil, try to hold the paper tight when you get to the end so you get a good curl.
3. Place the curls into your ornament, note the curls will uncurl a little when they are put inside. Continue adding until full.
4. Tie a ribbon in a bow in the loop at the top of your ornament. Add bakers twine or glitter string so you can hang on your tree.
Hope I have inspired you to create your own little bit of 'Christmas sparkle'
